Citizens Fire Academy

The Citizens Fire Academy is a ten-week program that gives residents an opportunity to learn more about how the Allen Fire Department is organized and operated. The Academy is held once a year at the Ronald Gentry Training Center inside Central Fire Station. Participants experience:
  • Demonstrations of emergency operations
  • Fire and life safety training
  • Riding along with on-duty firefighters on emergency calls
Upcoming Classes
Classes are held in the spring of each year.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the Academy, participants must be at least 18 years old and either live or work in the City of Allen. Download the application or pick one up at the Allen Fire Department Administration Building (Central Fire Station). You may fax, mail or deliver the completed application to:
