Adult Winter Reading 2016

The Book Was Better, November 30 - January 10

Participate in the Adult Winter Reading program!  No registration required.  You don't even need a library card!  All you have to do is be 18 or older and turn in your reading log(s) in person by 5pm Sunday, January 10 to be eligible for the final prize drawing.

 The Basics

Earn prizes for reading materials you enjoy!  You may read any
adult or teen titles you want!  Audio books and ebooks count, too! 
Just make sure you read/listen to all titles between November 30 and January 10.

1. Read

You may choose to read by time or by title.

2. Record

Stop by the Library to pick up a reading log and keep track of the time or titles you read. 

3. Earn Prizes!

Bring in your Reading Log to enter for a chance to win a prize.  You may return your logs any time between November 30 and January 10 at the Reference Desk.  All reading logs must be returned in person by 5pm January 11 in order to be eligible for the prize drawing.  All prize drawings will take place at the end of winter reading on January 11.  You do not need to be present to win.


Just read 1 book OR 5 hours to be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card from Alamo Drafthouse, Amazon, Michaels, Target, or Walmart. 

You don't need to complete your log to win prizes.  You still get credit for each book or every 5 hours you read!

All participants who turn in reading logs will automatically be entered to win a $50 gift card to the Watters Creek Shopping Center.

Additionally, starting Monday, December 7, we will have a weekly trivia question.  The first person drawn with the correct answer will receive a $10 gift card.  Trivia drawings will be each Monday beginning December 14.  See the Reference Desk for the weekly question.
