Bill Hawley became the City of Allen’s Fire Chief on July 29, 2002. Chief Hawley leads the activities of the fire department including emergency operations, prevention and administration. He has served in fire departments for thirty years, including six years as the Deputy Fire Chief in Addison, Texas and ten years with the Plano Fire Department. He holds a Master Degree of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and has completed the Harvard University Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program.

Assistant Fire Chief Kurt Hall
Assistant Chief Hall leads the Allen Fire Department's Support Services Division, including research, procurement and maintenance of the department's facilities, apparatus, supplies and equipment. He has more than 20 years of experience in fire operations and holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from University of Texas, Dallas.

Assistant Chief Boyd leads the Allen Fire Department's Operations Division, including fire suppression, emergency medical services and training. Training activities range from daily drills to month-long certification courses. He has nearly 20 years of experience in fire operations and holds and Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas, Dallas.

Assistant Fire Chief David Cannaday
Assistant Chief David Cannaday leads the Allen Fire Department's Prevention Division. The division issues permits, conducts hazard inspections, prepares for large-scale emergencies and provides educational resources. Assistant Chief Cannaday also serves as the Allen Fire Marshal. He holds a Masters Degree in Executive Fire Leadership from Grand Canyon University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer program.
