Allen Community Outreach
Allen Community Outreach (ACO) has helped families living in Allen, Fairview and Lucas to rebuild their lives through financial assistance with household bills, groceries from the
Allen Food Pantry, clothing and house wares from the
ACO Resale Shop, new
school supplies for children in need, and holiday programs providing groceries for a traditional
Thanksgiving meal and gifts and toys for children, teens and seniors at
Christmas, and more.
Collin County Committee on Aging
The
Collin County Committee on Aging (CCCoA) is a private nonprofit organization committed to serving the needs of the elderly residents within Collin County. Located in McKinney, Texas, CCCoA offers services such as
Meals on Wheels,
Collin County Area Regional Transportation, caregiver support and more.
Assistance Center of Collin County
The
Assistance Center of Collin County connects people to social services responding to people's needs. They administer funds from grants and community donations, link to social service and government agencies, work with pharmaceutical company reduced-cost drug programs, and focus church and community donations to assist with financial and material assistance for individuals and families in need.
Children's Advocacy Center
The
Collin County Children's Advocacy Center works to identify, protect and improve the lives of abused and neglected Collin County children. CCCAC works together with a multi-disciplinary team to investigate, treat, and prosecute child abuse cases within Collin County in addition to providing a safe place for children to tell their stories and begin to heal.
Hope's Door
Hope's Door is a shelter and counseling center that offers comprehensive programs and services that are designed to help break the cycle of domestic abuse.
Help for Homeowners
Revitalization of older neighborhoods is provided through participation in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. With this grant, the City funds the
Home Repair Assistance Program along with neighborhood improvements and public services.
