We have a great line-up of new aquatic programs this season along with many of the old favorites! Special aquatic classes include the following:

Beginning Scuba Diving - a professional certification program that provides all the training for open water diving. Call 214-509-4770 for more information.

aquatic certifications
American Red Cross Lifeguard Challenge is offered twice during fall/winter season. For more information about upcoming certification classes, call 214-509-4770.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Class requires a pre-test for certification. Individuals who do not pass the pre-test will not be permitted to continue with course. Pre-test includes a 500 yard continuous swim using only breaststroke and front crawl and retrieving a 10 pound brick from 7-10 feet of water. For details, call 214-509-4770.

We offer a variety of aquatic fitness classes with both shallow and deep water workouts. Check through the listings below. Access the activity guide for more information.

WIM SCHOOL
year-round swim lessons

New swim sessions begin every month with lessons once a week on a T/TH schedule. Water Babies classes also offered with a Saturday schedule. Classes offered with a 5 to 1 student to instructor ratio. Register or receive additional information at the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium, 110 E. Rivercrest, 214-509-4770.

Swim levels:
Water Babies - parents participate in aquatic lessons for children 6 months to 3 years old.

Advanced Water Babies - parents participate in aquatic lessons for children 16 months to 3 years old expanding upon basic skills.

The Starting Blocks - basic water exploration for children 3 to 5 years old.

Block Two - development of primary skills for children 3 to 5 years old

Block Three - begin learning stroke fundamentals and treading water for children 3 to 5 years old

Upper levels
Qualifiers
- skills instroduction for children 6 to 12 years old that are non-swimmers

Olympian - development of primary skills for children 6 to 12 years old

Bronze Medalists - begin learning stroke fundamentals and treading water for children 6 to 12 years old

Silver Medalists - improve strokes and increase endurance and strength for children 6 to 12 years old

Gold Medalists - refine strokes and learn Butterfly, open turns, and spring board diving

Adults - Designed for youth 13 years through adults to teach both beginning and intermediate swimming skills
