A concert series held on Monday nights for six-consecutive weeks beginning in May.
The music starts at 7 p.m. and a variety of concession items are available for purchase.

May 19 - EDS Jazz Band
A 23-member big band jazz ensemble and vocal group, comprised entirely of current and former employees of EDS - one of America’s most innovative global technology
companies. Now in its fifth year, the band has performed in support of numerous
organizations to promote jazz in the community.
May 26 - Allen Philharmonic Symphony
Celebrate Memorial Day as the symphony will pay homage to those who have served
our country. We do ask attendees to be considerate of the veterans during this
particular concert by asking all patrons to remain seated during the performance.
June 2 - James Brandon and The Old No.6 Band
This is not your typical Top 40 working country band. Covering hits from timeless artists such as Merle Haggard, George Strait and Alan Jackson, they only play the
best selection of classic country music with sounds of today and a few of their own
mixed in as well.
June 9 - 4 Way Street
4 Way Street, is the band that does Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young almost if not
better than the original. Among the other artist they perform are The Byrds, The Hollies, Crazy Horse and more. 4 Way Street, comes recommended as the
undisputed champions of covers.
June 16 - Mighty Marvelous Four
With their smooth moves and sweet harmony The Mighty Marvelous Four have
been around for six years. Featuring music from artists such as The Four Tops, The Temptations and Marvin Gaye this group will have concert goers of all ages grooving
to Motown Favorites.
June 23 - Texas Gypsies
Formed by experienced professional musicians, including a Grammy winner and
sidemen for many famous recording artists, the band represents a love for a music
that is “Pop music, Swing or Hot Jazz, from the 30’s and 40’s” along with a Southern
Western Swing influence to create its own unique sound.

Kickball Tournament

Daddy-Daughter Tea Party

Location: Into My Garden Tea Room
What a special day! Celebrate Daddy with a tea party at Into My Garden Tea Room in Historic Downtown Plano. We’ll set a beautiful fine china tea table for everyone. Girls will enjoy heart shaped sandwich, fruit and cheese kabobs, heart shaped chocolate chip mini muffins and unlimited tea pots of pink lady punch. Dads will enjoy their first ever cucumber sandwich, scone, tea breads and pastry along with pink lady punch served to them by their adorable daughter. Step Up to Health

Scrumpy the Fire Dog and FC Dallas are urging the community to focus on wellness and healthy living programs offered by the Allen Parks and Recreation through Step Up to Health, an initiative launched by the National Recreation and Parks Association. The free program is held in conjunction with the City’s Summer Sounds Concert scheduled for 7 p.m. Step Up to Health aims tohighlight the many active living programs offered by Allen Parks and Recreation such as sports, recreation, wellness and the arts. Activities planned for the evening include a youth health challenge, games and inflatable bounce house. Vendors scheduled to appear are as follows: FC Dallas; Baby Boot Camp instructor, Tricia Meelhause; Jamba Juice; Licensed Dietician, Nimisha Patel of Healthy Lifestyles; Colordynamics; Chan Qi Fa instructor, Luke Ha; Tai Chi instructor, Carole Booth and representatives from Vitamin Water. Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) is recognized as the official holiday of skateboarding. The holiday began June 21, 2004 as an excuse for skateboarders to skip their obligations, go skateboarding and have fun! Come out and join The Edge Youth Center staff and some of your favorite local skateboarding enthusiasts as we celebrate this day just for skateboarders with competitions, clinics and other fun activities. Allen USA Celebration

Location: Celebration Park (701 Angel Parkway)
Allen USA, one of the largest pre-Fourth of July celebrations in North Texas, kicks off on Saturday, June 28 at Celebration Park at noon. Attractions include a Kid Zone with more than 20 inflatables, a children’s Activity Zone complete with two shows from Nickelodeon Live, concessionaires from all over the region and a live performance from Three Dog Night. Allen City Championship Golf Tournament
Time: 7 am tee time start both days
Cost: $115/player
Age: 18 years+
Location: Chase Oaks Golf Club
The tournament consists of 36 holes of stroke play and the number of flights will be based on entries. Great tee prizes will be awarded to all participants along with food and beverages after the tournament. Missoula Children’s Theater Presents Rumpelstiltskin

Missoula Children’s Theater, a touring theater program, presents Rumpelstiltskin. Fill the Bus Softball Tournament

Age: 15 years+
Location: Ford Park
The “Fill the Bus” Softball Tournament will benefit less fortunate children by helping them with school supplies. A prize will be given to the team that brings the most 1 inch three ring binders and also the tournament winner. Each team that brings ten 1 inch three ring binders will start off with one run. School supplies will benefit the Allen Community Outreach’s “Fill the Bus” campaign. Registration runs June 1-July 28.
