Councilmember Sedlacek and her husband, Steve, have been residents of Allen since 1987. They have two sons, Derek and Daniel. She is a controller for George Group Consulting, L.P.
Serves as Council Representative to the following:
- Council Liaison Library Board (2008-Present)
- Council Liaison Planning & Zoning Commission (2007-2008)

- Served on Planning and Zoning Commission (2001-05)
- Served on Community Development Corporation (1996-2001)
- Served on Capital Improvement Steering Committee (1994, 1999)
