    Enjoy the enthusiasm and inspiration of African-American Gospel music with blues and gospel artist Sugar Boy Myers and his Praise Band. Walter Jackson provides vocal accompaniment. Music historian Donte Ford opens the concert by giving a brief history of African-American Gospel music. Arrive early to view rare archival footage of gospel icons such as Mahalia Jackson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Five Blind Boys of Alabama and more.

    An afternoon full of a silent auction, musicians, ballet, crafts, activities, food, and MORE in memory and honor of Samantha Schmidt who bravely fought leukemia at age 11 and wanted to raise funds "so other kids don't get sick". All proceeds benefit Cook Children's Medical Center and their continuing leukemia research.

  2. "Epic Proportions" presented by Allen's Community Theatre

    Brothers Benny and Phil go to Arizona to be extras in the huge Biblical epic Exeunt Omnes. The extras are grouped by counting off in fours. Phil is a Three, with pleasant scenes of feasts and parades. Benny is a Four, putting him in all Ten Plagues. Things start to unravel, and soon Phil is directing the movie, with Benny starring in it. They both fall in love with Louise, who supervises the extras. Along the way there are gladiator battles, the Plagues and a cast of thousands portrayed by four other actors.
