Bulky Item Collection
The City of Allen offers service to residents for the collection of unwanted large, bulky trash items that cannot fit into the 95-gallon trash cart.
Collection Day
- Residents must call CWD at 972.392.9300 ext. 2 by noon on Friday for next-day (Saturday) collection.
- Once monthly collection (see schedule below) of a maximum of five bulky items, no larger than two men can lift.
- Large, bulky items must be placed out by 7 a.m. on Saturday.
- Find your designated bulk pick-up day using the schedule below:

*Freon must be removed and certified freon-free by a licensed professional, with the certification tag attached to the appliance to be considered for bulk pick up.

Household items that do not fit into the bulk item category can be taken to the Custer Road Transfer Station or contact CWD directly to arrange for a quote for a special collection. Contact CWD at 972-392-9300 ext. 2 for more information.
