Support Services Division supports all of the firefighter’s personal protective equipment needs and repairs, properly prepares equipment and vehicles for emergency response, as well as supervises the design and purchase of all the city’s fire stations, fire apparatus, and rescue equipment. The goal of the support services division is to provide capable and reliable equipment to protect the lives of firefighters and to facilitate the response to emergency incidents. The Support Services Division monitors trends of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for changes that relate to firefighter safety, along with identifying emerging technology to improve the capabilities of the Allen Fire Department.
