Enforcement

The Allen Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for developing, maintaining and enforcing the fire code. The links below have been provided to assist you in understanding the local fire code and the amendments as adopted by the City of Allen.

As of March 2008 The Allen Fire Department has adopted the International Fire Code, 2006 Edition with local amendments. View the local amendments.

Permit and Plan Review Process link provides information on what the Fire Marshal office requires for Permit Application, Plan Review Policies, CAD Submittal Policy and other information needed by contractors to assist in obtaining permits.

The Home Inspection link provides information related to foster / adoption home and group home day care inspections that are required by most licensing agencies. The information within this link can also be useful for all home owners.

New business owners and contractors who are attempting to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy will need to contact the Fire Marshal’s Office to receive a Final Fire Inspection (In addition to the Building Departments Certificate of Occupancy Inspection). In order to help you prepare for your inspection we have provided a Certificate of Occupancy Checklist.

The Forms link provides online forms and downloadable forms needed to apply for permits, register as a contractor with the Allen Fire Department, and other necessary forms.
