Permit and Plan Review Process

Fire Alarm and Automatic Fire Sprinkler systems permit fees are based upon the total square footage of the project. Fees are calculated as follows:

0-100,000 Square Feet
0.02 per square foot of building area (minimum of $60.00)
100,001 - 300,000 $2000 for first 100,000 square feet
Plus 0.017 for each additional square foot or fraction thereof
300,001 + $5400 for first 300,000 square feet
Plus 0.01 for each additional square foot or fraction thereof
Fire Alarms that monitor Water Flow Only are charged a permit fee of $60.00.

Other permits that are required are charged a permit fee as follows.
Access Control System $60.00 per permit
Underground Fire Main $60.00 Per Main
Hood System $60.00 per system
Flammable / Combustible Liquids - Storage $160.00 for first tank, $60.00 each additional tank
Flammable / Combustible Liquid(s) $60.00 per permit
Gate Access System $60.00 per permit
Flow Test $60.00 per request

Permits are required for all regulated work. Failure to obtain a permit will result in fines -
DOUBLE the permit fees in addition to the original permit fee.
