Homeschool Bluebonnet Kickoff Party

Children's Program Room

Homeschooled children in grades 3-6 are invited to learn about this year's Bluebonnet Award nominated books. Enjoy an overview of this year's selections, and take home an annotated list of this year's nominees and a personal reading log. Refreshments will also be provided. Please register online.

10:30 - 11:45 a.m.

Children's Program Room

Grab your favorite book and buddy up with a Heart of Texas therapy dog to share a story. These special dogs are really good listeners and love to hear children read. All readers in first through sixth grade are encouraged to attend. Arrive early-- sign up starts at 10:15 a.m, and you can participate in a dog scavenger hunt while you wait. Limited to 50 children.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

Friday, September 24

4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Children's Program Room

Kids ages 5-7 can come have a ball playing games like basketball, ring toss, and giant parachute play. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite sports jersey. Registration starts September 3 and is limited to 30 children.
