Last Minute Things to Know Before You Head to This Year's Allen USA Celebration
Q. Can I bring some lawn chairs and a cooler with food and drinks?
A. Lawn chairs and coolers are permitted. Please remember that NO alcohol will be allowed onsite.
Q. Can I bring a shade structure?
A. Shade structures are allowed, however, please note that once concert performances begin, shade structures must be removed to ensure adequate visibility for everyone in attendance.
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. Allen USA is a "rain or shine" event. Check local weather forecasts before heading to the Allen USA Celebration. In the case of inclement weather, please check the allenusa.org or cityofallen.org websites or call the Special Events Hotline at 214.509.4811 for any updates to scheduled Allen USA activities.
Q. What time will the fireworks begin?
A. Approximately 10:00 p.m.
Q. How long will the fireworks last?
A. Approximately 20 minutes.
Q. Are they synchronized to music on the radio?
A. No. The fireworks will NOT be synchronized to music on the radio.
Prices
Q. How much is admission?
A. Admission is FREE!
Q. Will tickets be required this year?
A. Tickets will not be required for food or beverage purchases. However, inflatables, crafts, climbing wall, face painting and train rides will require the purchase of tickets or an all-inclusive wrist band.
Q. How much are tickets and wristbands?
A. Tickets will cost 50 cents each and can only be purchased on the day of the event. Wristbands are $25 the day of the event, but can be purchased for $20 in advance at the Joe Farmer Recreation Center and the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium.
Q. How much do rides and activities cost?
A. Costs will vary from $2-$3.
Q. How much does the food cost?
A. Food prices will vary from concessionaire to concessionaire.
Q. How much do drinks cost?
A. Drinks cost between $2-$4.
Q. How much are glow products and when will they be available for purchase?
A. Glow products are $3 and they will be available for purchase beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. until the end of the event. They'll be sold all over the site, but mainly on the great lawn where everyone will be seated for the concert and fireworks. Proceeds will benefit Boy Scout Group 306.
Closing Times
Q. What time will the ticket booths close?
A. Ticket booths will close promptly at 8:30 p.m. Please note there are NO REFUNDS on ticket or wristband purchases.
Q. What time will the Kid Zone shut down?
A. Lines to the inflatables will close at 9:00 p.m. Everyone in line at that time will get to finish their turn.
Q. What time will the concessionaires close?
A. Concessions will be available until 10:30 p.m. shortly after the fireworks show has concluded.
Parking/Shuttle Buses
Q. Will the shuttle bus from Allen High School be running back and forth all day long?
A. Yes, shuttle busses from Allen High School to Celebration Park will run from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Beginning immediately after the firework show (approx. 10:30 p.m.) buses will shuttle passengers back to Allen High School. The last bus will leave Celebration Park at 11:15 p.m. Buses will NOT run between 9:30 p.m. and the end of the fireworks show.
Q. Where do volunteers park?
A. Volunteers will park at Allen High School and be shuttled by bus to the site beginning at 3:30 p.m. Shuttles will also transport volunteers back to the high school from 3 - 9:30 p.m., if necessary, and then immediately after the fireworks until 11:30 p.m. Buses will NOT run between 9:30 p.m. and the end of the fireworks show.
Q. Where is Preferred/VIP Parking?
A. Preferred/VIP parking is located on the west side of Celebration Park on Malone and across from Curtis Middle School. Only those cars with Preferred or VIP Parking Passes will be allowed past the barricades after 8:00 a.m. Malone will be closed at 3:00 p.m. for event traffic only. All streets surrounding the Park (Malone & Angel) will be closed to traffic between 9:30 -10:30 p.m. due to the firework show.
Q. Where do vendors and concessionaires park?
A. Parking for both vendors and concessionaires is located on the east side of Celebration Park just off Angel Parkway. Only those cars with Vendor Parking Passes will be allowed past the barricades after 8:00 a.m. All streets surrounding the Park (Malone & Angel) will be closed to traffic between 9:30 -10:30 p.m. due to the firework show.
Q. Where is the staff/entertainment parking area?
A. The staff/entertainment area is located on the east side of Celebration Park just off Angel Parkway. Only those cars with Staff/Entertainment Parking Passes will be allowed past the barricades after 8:00 a.m. All streets surrounding the Park (Malone & Angel) will be closed to traffic between 9:30-10:30 p.m. due to the fireworks show.
