The success of Community Oriented Policing relies on the strength of the partnership that has developed between the department, the Allen Independent School District, the citizens and visitors we serve. Through innovative programs such as the Citizen Police Academy, Volunteers in Policing, Citizens on Patrol, School Resource Officer Program and the Community Relation Officer Program, the partnership with the community has flourished.

The goal of the Allen Police Department is to provide a safe and secure environment in which to live, work, and play. The department takes a proactive response to crime trends through enforcement efforts, education of the public, and utilization of crime prevention techniques. This proactive response allows the City of Allen to maintain one of the lowest crime rates in the North Texas area.
