Ridgeview Drive
(US 75 to Custer Road)
This is a $45 million multiphase project which is partially funded with the City of Allen 2007 GO Bond propositions. This roadway will be a 6-lane divided arterial. The City of Allen is starting to advance design on various segments and identify funding partner for construction.
Ridgeview Drive Phases
- US 75 Interchange - Construction anticipated to begin when supported by economic development project.
- US 75 to Alma - No formal construction schedule because construction funding has not been identified.
- Alma to Custer - Complete as a 4-lane arterial

(Spring Creek Pkwy to Collin County Line)
Planning continues on this important roadway segment as the communities of Allen, Anna, Melissa, Fairview, McKinney and Plano look towards the ultimate improvement of this roadway, with 8 main lanes and HOV lanes.
- TxDOT developing schematic design which will include 2 additional lanes.
- Construction estimated to begin end 2013.

DART Rail Service
The City of Allen is extremely interested in moving rail transit further north in the US 75 corridor. At this time we need to resolve three core issues to address the implementation of a regional rail plan for the Cities not within in the DART or Fort Worth T transit service areas. |
