Fire Alarm and Automatic Fire Sprinkler systems permit fees are based upon the total square footage of the project. Fees are calculated as follows:

• 0-100,000 square feet
  • 0.02 per square foot of building area (minimum of $60)
• 100,001 - 300,000
  • $2000 for first 100,000 square feet
  • Plus 0.017 for each additional square foot or fraction thereof
• 300,001 +
  • $5400 for first 300,000 square feet
  • Plus 0.01 for each additional square foot or fraction thereof
• Fire Alarms that monitor Water Flow Only are charged a permit fee of $60.

Other permits that are required are charged a permit fee as follows.

• Access Control System $60 per permit
• Flammable / Combustible Liquid(s) $60 per permit
• Flammable / Combustible Liquids - Storage $160 for first tank, $60 each additional tank
• Flow Test $60 per request
• Gate Access System $60 per permit
• Hood System $60 per system
• Underground Fire Main $60 Per Main

Permits are required for all regulated work. Failure to obtain a permit will result in fines - double the permit fees in addition to the original permit fee.
