Residential Solid Waste Collection
Recycling and trash bins
About

The City of Allen provides trash and recycling services through Community Waste Disposal, Inc., (CWD). Allen residents are required to use City-provided trash and recycling services, which are initiated by signing up for water service.

Setting up Trash/Recycling Service
If your new home does not have a trash or recycling poly cart, they can be ordered through the Utility Billing Division at the time you establish water and sewer services. Contact the City of Allen Utility Billing Division at 214.509.4560.
  • Clearly label your carts with your address. It will help identify your cart, should it go missing. Carts are the property of Community Waste Disposal. There is a charge for replacements.
  • Trash and recycle carts should remain and be secured at the original home if a resident moves to a new address. Missing carts incur a charge of $76.05 per cart.
  • Trash and recycle carts are typically delivered within 10 business days.

To order additional trash or recycling poly carts contact CWD directly at 972.392.9300, Option 1. The charge for an additional trash cart is $8.89 and $2.10 for an additional recycling cart. These charges will appear on your City of Allen monthly water utility bill.
