Bulk trash pick-upAbout
The City of Allen offers a once monthly service to residents for the collection of unwanted large, bulky trash items that cannot fit into the 95-gallon trash cart.

Please note: Due to a typo on page 7 of the 2012-2013 trash and recycling guidelines, CWD's phone number was printed incorrectly. The correct number to call CWD is 972-392-9300, Option 2.

Collection Day
Residents must call CWD at 972.392.9300, Option 2 by noon on Friday to schedule this service for the next Saturday. Any calls after noon Friday will be collected on the next Saturday. CWD will collect a maximum of five bulky items, no larger than two men can lift. Large, bulky items must be placed out by 7 a.m. on Saturday. Find your designated bulk pick-up day using the schedule below.

Unacceptable Items
  • Car parts
  • Construction debris
  • Excess household trash (boxes or bags)
  • Fence materials
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Remodeling materials 
  • Tree limbs or trunks
  • Yard trimmings

For additional disposal options for these items, please call Community Services at 214.509.4500. Household items that do not fit into the bulk item category can be taken to the Custer Road Transfer Station or contact CWD for a quote on a special collection. 972-392-9300, Option 2.

*Freon must be removed and certified freon-free by a licensed professional, with the certification tag attached to the appliance to be considered for bulk pick-up.

NTMWD’s Custer Road Transfer Station does not accept white metals (appliances). Residents can still take appliances to other NTMWD facilities, including:

    • This location accepts appliances containing Freon®. No fee with copy of current City of Allen water bill. Name on both documents MUST match.

    • This location accepts appliances containing Freon®. No fee with copy of current City of Allen water bill. Name on both documents MUST match.

You must bring your current City of Allen water utility bill and Texas driver's license; addresses must match. Additional information can be found at the North Texas Municipal Water District website.
