Volunteer Opportunities
Keep Allen Beautiful (KAB) depends greatly on volunteers and community groups to help plan, organize and participate in the various programs, special events and educational activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Casey Bennett at 214.509.4555.

Allen Chemical Reuse Center (ACRC)
The City of Allen provides reusable household chemicals for Allen and Plano residents through its Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program.  KAB volunteers staff the ACRC six times monthly: every Thursday from Noon - 2 p.m. and the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. - Noon. If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions about the ACRC, contact Casey Bennett at 214.509.4555.

Volunteer Programs
Keep Allen Beautiful sponsors Adopt A Highway, Adopt A Waterway, and Adopt A Spot programs. These programs provide an opportunity for individuals, organizations, or businesses to help with ongoing clean-up and beautification of designated areas. Adoption does not require a minimum number of participants but areas must be cleaned a minimum of four times per year. Two of these activities should be held in conjuction with annual event dates for the Great American Clean Up and Allen Recycles Day.

Need to Submit Your Cleanup Statistics
If your group is actively participating in an annual Adoption program, it's easy to keep and submit your cleanup statics for any one of the programs. For your convenience, please use our online Cleanup Statistics Form.

Adopt A Highway
Keep Allen Beautiful has sponsored an Adopt A Highway program in Allen for over 12 years. This program provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations or businesses to maintain a one mile section of roadside within the City.

The Texas Department of Transportation's Adopt A Highway program, which began in 1989, has been one of the most successful government-public partnerships of our time. Many residents have shown their pride in Allen by contributing their efforts to cleaner and "greener" roadways!

If you tend to follow your own road, why not put your name on it and make it official? Call us today.
Adopt A Waterway
Litter isn't found only on the side of the road - it's in our waterways, too! A common source of water pollution, litter threatens the health and beauty of far too many of our treasured creeks and streams.  The Adopt A Waterway program offers volunteer groups the opportunity to address water-based litter issues as a means to protect and improve local water quality. This is also a great way to support Texas Department of Transportation's "Don't Mess with Texas" litter campaign. Committing to keep a mile of waterway clean through quarterly cleanups can make a significant improvement to Allen's environmental health.

The City of Allen currently has 10 adopted waterways - we have more and they are waiting for you!

Roadways and waterways are not the only places in Allen that require litter-care and beautification. Keep Allen Beautiful is pleased to offer an Adopt A Spot program, allowing interested organizations to play an active and on-going role in cleaning, greening and maintaining a piece of Allen. Volunteers can choose from selected public areas near parks, trails and greenbelts. Call today to Adopt A Spot.
