Leadership Allen
Developing Leaders for a Better Allen

Founded in 1989 by the Allen Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Allen is a nine-month human development program designed to train and encourage Allen residents to take an active role in their community. The objective of the program is to develop a heightened sense of community awareness, involvement and leadership.

The program includes monthly meetings (September through May) which are led by community professionals and civic leaders. These meetings combine classroom instruction, panel discussions and on-site visits on topics such as health and human services, city government, education, and quality of life.

Class members also research and complete a service project. Upon graduation they are eligible for membership in the Leadership Allen Alumni Association.
