Playground and Spray Ground Rules
Allen Parks and Recreation is excited to host a unique spray
ground area next to the kidMania handicap accessible playground.
The playground and spray ground is for use by children ages
2 to 12 years old. The Parks and Recreation Board had adopted
the following rules for use of the playground and spray
ground facilities:
- No pets allowed on spray
ground or playground
- kidMania is designed for
children ages 2 through 12
- Children wearing diapers
must wear a "swim diaper" if using the spray
ground
- Only rubber soled shoes
allowed on spray ground rubber deck
- For your safety, please
do not climb on spray apparatus, railings or barriers
- No skateboards, bicycles
or roller skates are allowed on playground or spray ground
- Play at your own risk

IThe spray
ground at Celebration Park (701 Angel Parkway) will open
May 16 and observe the following schedule:

The
City of Allen's conservation initiatives involves reducing
the use of potable water at the sprayground. In order to
reduce consumption, the sprayground season has been aligned
with that of Ford Pool which operates during the traditional
summer months of June, July, and August. The sprayground’s pumping
system has now been retrofitted to include a recirculating
system that will allow the sprayground to operate on recirculated
water instead of requiring a continuous supply of potable
water. This retrofit is expected to be completed prior to
the scheduled opening on May 16.
