Visiting Us

Allen Visitor Center

Currently housed at the Allen Heritage Center, 100 E. Main, the center is a stop-off for visitors as they arrive in our community during the weekend and provides information concerning activities, local attractions and amenities along with shopping, dining and lodging information. Operating hours for the visitor center are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Historical Driving Tour

The Allen Heritage Guild, along with the City of Allen, the Allen Parks and Recreation Department and the Texas Historical Commission have developed a historical driving tour of Allen. The driving tour includes the Allen Historic Dam and other points of interest in Allen.
