Citizens Fire Academy

The Citizens Fire Academy is an eight-week (10-class) program that gives residents an opportunity to learn more about how the Allen Fire Department operates and is organized. The Academy takes place each spring.

Participants experience:
  • Demonstrations of emergency operations
  • Fire and life safety training
  • Riding along with on-duty firefighters on emergency calls
Completion of the Citizens Fire Academy provides an in-depth understanding of the department, but is not to be confused with a fire service training academy for future career firefighters.
