Ford Pool Special Events
Ford Pool will be offering a variety of special events throughout Summer 2018, providing fun and unique ways to make memories and celebrate the season with the Allen community.

MAY
Memorial Day Weekend (5/26-5/28)
All first responders and military personnel (active and retired) receive free admission to Ford Pool, and their accompanying family members receive 50% off admission.
JUNE
Father’s Day (6/17)
Dads receive free admission to Ford Pool with their family.
Adult Swim Lesson Day (6/23)
Start your afternoon with a Free Adult Swim Lesson and receive free admission for the rest of the day.
JULY
Market Street Allen USA Celebration Wristband Redemption (7/1-7/4)
Present your Market Street Allen USA Celebration wristband for free admission to Ford Pool.
H2O Fitness Expo (7/21)
Receive free admission to Ford Pool by attending the Fitness Expo.
AUGUST
School Spirit Weekend (8/25-8/26)
Students who wear their school colors get 50% off Ford Pool admission. AISD teachers and administrators who show their school ID and wear school colors receive free admission to Ford Pool.
Loyalty Card Special Events
New for the Summer 2018 season, get rewarded for attending special events at Ford Pool! For every three (3) Loyalty Card Special Events you attend, you will receive a 2019 admission voucher. Attend 12 or more Loyalty Card Special Events, and you will be entered into a drawing for a 2019 Ford Pool Season Pass. Attend all 18 Ford Pool Loyalty Card Special Events, and you will receive a 2019 Ford Pool Season Pass! (Pick up your Loyalty Card at the Summer Kick-Off Bash or at the front desk at Ford Pool.)
JUNE
Summer Kick-Off Bash (6/08) — 7:30-11:30 p.m.
Come watch "The Sandlot" from the pool! A Meal Deal (hot dog, chips and a drink) will be available for purchase, along with snow cones. At the event, Ford Pool Loyalty Cards will be handed out.
Date Day At Ford Pool (6/13) — 1-6 p.m.
There will be buy-one, get-one admission. Bring your own picnic to enjoy on grassy terrace! Games for couples will be held, including a water balloon toss, three-legged race and more.
National Flip Flop Day (6/15) — 1-7 p.m.
Wear flip flops to Ford Pool and receive 50% off admission. There will be stations to decorate your own flip flops, and a prize for the most creative flip flops.
World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (6/21) — 1-2 p.m.
Pre-register for the event and receive free admission to Ford Pool.
National Sunglasses Day/Sun Safety Day (6/27) — 1-6 p.m.
Information about sun safety will be offered throughout the pool deck. The first 50 people who enter the facility will receive a free pair of sunglasses.
JULY
Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest (7/4) — 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Participate or come watch a hot dog eating contest (limit 10 participants). There will be $1 hot dogs on sale all day. Wear red, white and blue, and receive 50% off admission.
Tie Dye Day at Ford Pool (7/7) — 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Wear tie dye and receive 50% admission. Tie-dye snow cones will be available. Bring-your-own-shirt, tie-dye stations will be set up at Ford Pool.
Bubble Party at Ford Pool (7/11) — 1-6 p.m.
Clear beach balls will be placed in Ford Pool. Make-your-own bubble mix will be provided. There will be an industrial bubble station at Ford Pool to make large bubbles.
“Jaws” Night at Ford Pool (7/13) — 7:30-11:30 p.m.
Join us for a shark-themed, dive-in movie. We'll be showing the movie "Jaws" from the pool!
National Ice Cream Day (7/15) — 1:30-2 p.m.
The first 100 people will receive a free ice cream sandwich.
Pirate Day at Ford Pool (7/18) — 3-4 p.m.
Participate in a cannon ball contest. A pirate will visit Ford Pool. The first 50 people who enter will receive an eye patch. A treasure hunt will be held in the pool, and found coins can be redeemed for free ice cream.
Christmas in July
Christmas Eve (7/24) — 5:45-8 p.m.
There will be cookie decorating stations and a cookie decorating contest. Participate in a "snow ball fight". Christmas music will be played. (Register online.)
Christmas Day (7/25) — 3-5 p.m.
Santa will be stopping by Ford Pool! Christmas-themed swag bags will be available. Christmas music will be played. (Register online.)
AUGUST
Karaoke Luau (8/1) — 1-6 p.m.
Show off your skills in karaoke, hula hoop and limbo contests. Wear a Hawaiian shirt and receive 50% off admission. Grilled pineapple will be available for purchase. The first 50 people will receive a lei.
Backyard Olympics (8/4) — 2-3:30 p.m.
Teams will take place in team activities, such as cornhole, giant Jenga and ladder toss, with overall winners and winners for each game.
World Record Day (8/8) — 2-5:30 PM
Ford Pool will try to break as many Guinness World Records as possible (must pre-register): Most balloons popped in 30 seconds (activity #7100); Alphabet arranged in order from Alphabet Soup Can (activity #7101); Quickest 100M on hopper ball (activity #7102); Tallest toilet paper tower in 30 seconds (activity #7103); Fastest time to unravel a toilet paper roll (activity #7104); Most M&Ms eaten blindfolded with chop sticks (activity #7105); Most lemons caught blindfolded in 30 seconds (activity #7106).
Ice Dump & End of Summer Bash (8/11) — 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
End-of-summer party. BBQ and an ice dump in the pool.
