TexShare Databases
The TexShare Databases allow you to access over 27,000 journals and over 15 million images, videos, and interactive resources. To help you get started, our Librarians have selected some resources to help with general research.
To access the TexShare Databases, simply log in by choosing Allen Public Library from the drop down menu and enter the password. The password can be obtained by calling the Reference Desk at 214.509.4905. (Please note: You must be a library card holder to receive the password.)
Once you are logged in to TexShare, if you are looking for one of the resources below, follow these steps:
- Click on Resources A-Z in the blue ribbon at the top of the page.
- Look for the "Click Here to see list sorted by subject" link towards the right side of the page. This will sort the list so all the databases available through TexShare are on one page.

CREDO
A tool for research, homework, and other reference needs. Gather background information on your topic from over one thousand full-text encyclopedias, subject handbooks, and current events resources, as well as 500,000+ images and audio files and over 1,000 videos.

EXPLORA: K-5
An easy to use search interface for K-5 students looking for magazine and newspaper articles, books and encyclopedias on a variety of topics, such as animals, art, music, geography, language arts, math, science and social studies.

EXPLORA: GRADES 6-12
Students in grades 6-12 can look for magazine and newspaper articles, books, informational texts, primary sources, multimedia and more on a variety of curriculum related topics.

EXPLORA: ADULTS
Contains magazine and newspaper articles, books and other reference materials.

PROQUEST: HERITAGE QUEST
Combines digital, searchable images of U.S. federal census records with the digitized version of the popular ProQuest Genealogy & Local History Collection and other valuable content.

LEARNING EXPRESS LIBRARY
A collection of interactive tutorials, practice tests, articles, flash cards, and ebooks patrons can use to improve academic skills in reading, writing, math and science as well as prepare for school entrance exams. (You do not need a user name and password from the library to use this resource. You will create your own.)

GALE LEGAL FORMS
Provides a wide selection of state specific (as well as multi state) legal forms across the most popular legal areas. Includes real estate contracts, wills, pre-marital agreements, bankruptcy, divorce, landlord tenant and others.

MASTERFILE COMPLETE
A multidisciplinary database providing full text for popular magazines, reference books and other highly regarded sources.

Contains topic overviews, full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, primary source documents, statistics, images, videos, and audio files of today's hottest social issues.
