OnStage @ APL: John F. Kennedy/ Dallas Police Department Collection in the Dallas Municipal Archives

Revisit the unforgettable events in Dallas, in November 1963, on the 59th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination and the deaths of presumed assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and police officer J.D. Tippit. Guest speaker John Slate, Dallas City Archivist, presents an illustrated lecture on the history and contents of the John F. Kennedy Collection, comprised of records from the Dallas Police Department, in the Dallas Municipal Archives.

This program will be presented live both in person and virtually via www.ACTV.org.  No registration is required to attend. Admittance is first come, first served.

Transferred to the archives in 1989, the Kennedy collection contains more than 11,400 documents and photographs, including homicide reports, affidavits, witness statements, fingerprint cards, mug shots, newspaper clippings, and correspondence.
