LitBox FAQs

How do I pick up my box? 
Pick up your box at the Children's Desk. Remember to bring your library card. Check out your books at the Express Check Out machine or the Checkout Desk. Books are returned normally. The rest of the items in the box are yours to keeps.

Do I need a library card to participate? 
Yes, you will need a library card in good standing. Since the books inside the box are library books,  you'll need to check out the books before taking the box home. 

How do you pick the books? 
Book selections correlate to the LitBox theme. We'll use library/educator journals, reading lists, and our knowledge of new and notable titles to make some awesome picks. When you register, you'll let us know what grade you are in which will help us select a book for you. You can also tell us about what you typically do and don't like to read. If you LOVE fantasy, but don't like realistic fiction, let us know when you register. 

What if I don't like this month's theme? 
If you don't like the theme, skip it. You can check back next month on the theme and decide whether to register.
