Stop the Bleed Class
Tuesday, June 30, 2020
Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma. You will learn the various ways to control bleeding, whether you only have your two hands to use or a full trauma first aid kit available to you.
Join Allen Fire Department for this free Family and Friends CPR class. This hands-on training from the American Heart Association teaches how to perform CPR on adults, children and infants - both with and without the use of rescue breaths. Participants will also learn to use various AED (automated external defibrillator) devices, commonly found in public buildings such as offices, schools, recreation facilities and shopping centers. The goal of this class is to empower participants to save the life of a friend, family member or stranger. Participants do not receive a formal CPR certification.
