Earthfest Moved to Dayspring Nature Preserve. In previous years, Earthfest has been held at Connemara Meadow Preserve. This year it has been moved to a different nature preserve in order to continue to expose Allen residents to local nature spots.

"The original intent has always been the promotion of nature, health, and community," Donna Kliewer said. "By moving Earthfest throughout the city, we're exposing residents to the hidden gems in their backyards."

Earthfest is a community celebration of nature, health, and community. There will be interactive exhibits for the entire family. Visitors will be able to visit local vendors, experience fun and interactive educational booths, enjoy live music, indulge in free food tasting, walk along nature trails, and hunt for wild flower eggs.

There will also be a community creek cleanup. Participants will need to meet behind Boon Elementary School at the Eco-Lab Trail at 8:45 am. Volunteers will go both ways on the waterway and meet back at the trail head for pictures.

Earthfest is sponsored by the City of Allen and Keep Allen Beautiful. It will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 10 am to 2 pm at Dayspring Nature Preserve, 902 Comanche Drive, Allen, TX 75013.
