[ARCHIVED] CWD Service Delayed Due to Flooding

UPDATE (June 2 - 4:15 p.m.): CWD is caught up on trash and compost collection in the City of Allen. They are still working on recycling collection. If customers with an assigned trash day of Monday still have uncollected garbage, notify CWD at 972.392.9300 (option 2) or the City of Allen's Solid Waste Division at 214.509.3100. Due to collection delays, callers may experience longer wait times when contacting CWD directly.

UPDATE (June 1 - 3:30 p.m.): CWD trucks are now working in Allen to pick up trash and compost. Once trash pickup is completed, they will collect recycling. They should be caught up by tomorrow. Though delays are still possible, residents should put carts out on their usual trash day.

ORIGINAL POST (June 1 - 8:22 a.m.)
CWD trash and recycling service will slide one day beginning Monday, June 1, due to flooding near CWD facilities. CWD is unable to access its grounds due to the high water around Lake Lewisville. Trash will be picked up one day late, ending with collection on Saturday, June 6.
