Join your neighbors beginning Thursday, October 1 to plan Allen's next big projects. Pick a subcommittee and participate in weekly workshops to identify and prioritize community needs and costs for public facilities, parks and recreation, public safety, and streets and drainage. These recommendations will then be presented to Allen City Council for a future bond election in 2016.
Some of the projects identified in the previous Capital Improvement Program process include Fire Station No. 5, Celebration Park Phase 2, Municipal Service Center, Bethany Drive widening and extension of Ridgeview Drive from Custer Road to Stacy Road.
The subcommittees will meet at 7 p.m. each Thursday, Oct. 1 – Nov. 12 at Allen High School. Regular attendance at the meetings is encouraged, but not required.
