[ARCHIVED] Identity Theft Victims Find Help from Allen PD

From hacked bank accounts to fake tax returns, Allen residents now have an easier way to report cases of identity theft. Instead of completing a hand-written form, victims can now fill out the Identity Theft Witness Statement online before filing a police report at Allen Police Headquarters (205 W. McDermott Drive). The form must be printed and submitted in person to begin the investigation process.

The form gathers basic contact information and details of the theft or fraud case. Officers must collect this witness statement before completing a police report. Most banks and credit agencies require a police report before issuing corrections or refunds.

Allen Police will take a report if the offense occurred in the City of Allen or the victim is an Allen resident.
