Allen residents have several options for disposing of fresh-cut Christmas trees after the holidays. Community Waste Disposal (CWD) will collect clean, natural Christmas trees for two weeks, beginning Saturday, Dec. 26. Trees must be placed at your collection point, at least two feet away from trash and recycling carts. Residents must remove stands and all ornaments, including tinsel. Trees taller than six feet in height must be trimmed in two sections.
Trees will be collected on your designated trash day. All trees will be composted.
Residents may also take clean, natural trees to the Texas Pure Products Wood Grinding Facility for composting. The facility is located at the Custer Road Transfer Station (9901 Custer Road). Residents must present current water bill & driver's license when dropping off their tree. Addresses on both documents must match.
Flocked trees cannot be composted; these must be transported to the Custer Road Transfer Station located at 9901 Custer Rd. for disposal. Residents must present current water bill & driver's license. Addresses on both documents must match.
