We're excited to announce that the 14x105 ft Cottonwood Creek Trail Bridge is officially open to the public! The finishing touches were performed during the final art installation phase which were completed late last week. The new Cottonwood Creek Trail Bridge is the first trail system that connects east and west allowing access underneath Central Expressway.
The artwork, titled "Current Drift," along the bridge was created by local Texas artists Bill FitzGibbons and George Schroeder. Their inspiration for the piece came from a flowing creek through a pastoral setting.
The .6-mile long trail begins west of U.S. 75 and runs underneath the highway before extending south toward Cottonwood Creek. Run, ride or walk it today and check out the latest big thing that's being talked about in Allen!
