[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed to Plant Trees

Keep Allen Beautiful is looking for volunteers over the age of 12 to help plant 84 trees in the Hillside subdivision on Saturday, March 19. The work will take place from 8 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will work in groups of 4-5. You may bring your own group or be paired with others. Volunteers between the ages of 12 and 14 will need an adult with their group.

Each group will plant one tree at two to three residences. There are a total of ninety trees to be planted Volunteers are also needed to move limbs and tree debris to the curb at addresses where trees are being removed. Volunteers are asked to bring their own shovels and gloves.

Volunteers must register by Wednesday, March 16. Tree planting training will be provided at 5:30 on March 18 at City Hall, 305 Century Pkwy. At least one person in each group must receive training.
