The Montgomery Boulevard extension between Bethany Drive and US 75 will open to drivers following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, April 13.
The City of Allen collaborated with developers on the highly-anticipated roadway project. The road will provide a major access point to nearby neighborhoods, including the soon-to-be developed Montgomery Ridge. Funding for the $4.5 million project was made possible through public-private partnerships between the City of Allen, the Montgomery family and the owners of Watters Creek at Montgomery Farms.
Developers will join Allen city leaders to celebrate the new roadway during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on April 13. The public is invited to attend or watch the ceremony as it is streamed live on the City of Allen Facebook page. The road will open to the public later that afternoon.
