Confused by your settings? Concerned about repairs? Learn the ins and outs of irrigation during Allen’s three-part series, offered free by the City of Allen Water Conservation.
The series kicks off on April 30 with “Getting to Know Your Sprinkler System.” This class will cover the basics of sprinkler operation, simple repairs, cost-saving techniques and when to call a professional. Drip irrigation is the focus of the May 7 class, covering design, maintenance and repair of do-it-yourself systems. The series will wrap up on May 14 with “Taking Control of the Sprinkler Controller: Schedules for Water Savings.” This hands-on class will cover sprinkler run times for proper water requirements and different styles of controllers.
Allen residents may enroll in any or all of the classes by registering online. Classes meet in the Council Chambers of Allen City Hall (305 Century Parkway) from 9-10:30 a.m. The irrigation series is part of the annual Sustainable Landscape Series presented by City of Allen Water Conservation.
