[ARCHIVED] Ford Pool Set to Open 2017; DRN Expanding Hours, Summer Programming

After nearly 30 years of use, Ford Pool and the surrounding amenities are being updated. Currently closed for construction, Ford Pool will open for the 2017 summer season.

This summer, Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium is expanding hours and programming, offering a range of opportunities to spend time in the water.

Open Swim Hours
Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium will have new open swim hours throughout the week from June through August.

Swim Lessons
C.O.A.S.T. and Learn to Swim programs that have historically happened at Ford Pool will be held at the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium this summer. No programs were canceled.

Late Night Swim
Late night open swim opportunities will be available from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium on the following Fridays this summer:

June 10 & 24
July 8 & 22
August 5 & 19

Late night swim pricing is $1.50 for seniors, $2.50 for adults and $2 for children.

Dive-In Movie
Watch the ultimate summer classic movie "Jaws" in the pool at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium. This special late-night movie begins at 8:30 p.m. and is open to ages 13 and older. Admission is $6, and tubes, noodles and concessions are available for an additional cost.

Ford Pool Information
Ford Pool construction began December 2015. The project will incorporate competitive lap lanes, a zero-depth entry and fun water play structures. Despite rain and inclement weather that’s impacted construction, Ford Pool will be open in 2017.
