See how North Texans are growing their own produce during two July tours.
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will provide an educational tour of grape vineyards in Collin and Grayson Counties on Saturday, July 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The North Texas Vineyard Tour is designed to provide the public and interested landowners with an understanding of the growing viticulture industry. The tour costs $50; registration ends on July 7. Register now.
Texas A&M Agrilife will also conduct a free tour of local greenhouse production operations on Friday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. The guided tours will take place at Forest Grove Nursery (a wholesale landscape plant nursery) and Profound Microfarms (an aquaponics greenhouse operation producing edible produce). Register now.
