closeup of phone buttons

Need to call the City of Allen? Beginning Aug. 15, you can choose from eight simple options to reach the right person.

Simply dial the City of Allen’s main number (214.509.4100) and choose from eight of our most commonly-contacted departments:

• Utility Billing: Press 1
• Building Permits: Press 2• Planning/Code Enforcement/Signs/Environmental Health: Press 3
• Water and Sewer Maintenance/Streets and Drainage/Household Hazardous Waste/Public Works: Press 4• Allen Police/Animal Shelter/Solicitors Permit: Press 5
• Municipal Courts: Press 6• Parks and Recreation/Joe Farmer Recreation Center/Natatorium/Facility Rentals: Press 7
• Human Resources/Personnel: Press 8

By selecting one of the options above, you will be transferred immediately to a staff member in the appropriate department. To reach an operator, callers may press “0” at any time. If you know your party’s direct number, you may dial it instead of calling the city’s main line. You can also search our staff directory to find your party's direct number.

Most City of Allen staff work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Callers who contact the city outside regular business hours may be prompted to leave a message.
