The Dallas Morning News released "The Best in DFW" rankings and Allen scored high for its safety, schools, amenities and overall excellence.
Coming in at #2 for the best neighborhoods in North Texas, Allen was chosen for our small-town feel and hometown pride. The Dallas Morning News decided it was our "qualities that make Allen attractive to newcomers and cherished by those whose roots run deep" that earned our city such a high ranking.
Allen Mayor Stephen Terrell explained, "We've been very intentional about our growth and development, which has helped preserve the quality of our neighborhoods."
Other aspects making Allen one of the best include abundant shopping and dining options, solid employment base and well-cared for neighborhoods.
