The drinking fountains located at Allen’s parks and trails have been turned back on due to warmer weather and since no more freezes are expected to occur this season.
The fountains are turned off seasonally to prevent pipes from breaking during freezing temperatures. The fountains will remain on through most of the fall season until freezing temperatures are anticipated to occur again toward the end of the year.
Only one fountain located at Watters Crossing Park currently remains off due to repairs. The fountain is expected to be operable by March.
