[ARCHIVED] Security Cameras Installed Near Old Stone Dam

Camera3.jpg

Three security cameras have been installed throughout the Historic Water Station and Old Stone Dam site within Allen Station Park.

Mounted to poles, the cameras are solar powered and provide 24-hour video surveillance of the area. With video recording capabilities, the cameras have a wireless connection to the video feed, providing the ability for remote surveillance by the Allen Police Department.

In addition, the cameras have a night watch option, allowing for monitoring during nighttime hours.

Construction recently finished on the Historic Water Station site, including a destination bridge that crosses the creek and interpretative signage about the area’s history and landmarks. A dedication and ribbon cutting, celebrating the completed project, will be held at 11 a.m. on April 1 at the bridge.
