Development will soon begin on an auto tint shop and fitness center, following approval by Allen City Council.
North Dallas Auto Tint will join an existing shopping center located along US 75, just south of Allen Drive. Because the business is categorized as “minor automotive repair,” it required special approval before relocating to a property with a designated zoning of "shopping center." As part of the specific-use permit, the business is prohibited from storing cars in the parking lot overnight, among other regulations.
A separate specific-use permit was also approved for Circuit 31 Fitness. The new fitness and health studio will take over 2,100 square feet in an existing shopping center, located along Stacy Road between Watters Road and Curtis Lane. Special approval is required for any fitness center wishing to locate to a property with a designated zoning of "shopping center."
Allen City Council unanimously approved both requests.
