[ARCHIVED] Find a Pet at these Spring Adoption Events

Allen Animal Shelter is hitting the road to help find homes for its adoptable animals.

On Saturday, April 15 the shelter will offer half-price adoptions during "Paws at the Bank." The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bank of the Ozarks (1054 W. Bethany Drive, Allen). All adopters will receive tickets to enjoy an arena football game with the Texas Revolution.

Allen Animal Shelter will also attend a "Homes for Dogs" event at Coldwell Banker Apex, Realtors (1778 McDermott Drive, Allen) on Saturday, April 29. In addition to meeting adoptable pets, residents can donate dog/cat food, gently used blankets and towels, toys, leashes and collars. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Sunday, May 13 Allen Animal Shelter will bring adoptable dogs to the "Bow Wow Bash" at Canine Commons Dog Park at The Village at Allen (190 E. Stacy Road, Allen). Admission is free and the event is kid-friendly. The "Bow Wow Bash" will be held from 9-11 a.m.

Don't want to wait for a special event? Allen Animal Shelter is open six days a week! Adopting a dog or cat costs $95, which includes a microchip, vaccination and sterilization. You can view pets currently available for adoption on the Pet Finder website.
