After decades of development, Allen’s Twin Creeks community is making plans for its final neighborhood.
Walnut Springs at Twin Creeks will bring 110 single-family homes to the southwest corner of Exchange Parkway and Ridgeview Drive. The community will also feature picnic and playground space, along with connections to nearby hike and bike trails.
Developers had requested a zoning change in order to increase the average lot size.
“This is the last of the neighborhoods in Twin Creeks to be developed,” developer David Hicks told Allen city council members during the May 9 meeting. “So the direction that I’ve gotten from the owners of Twin Creeks is to make this one the best.”
Each home will offer at least 2,000 square feet of living space. Designs call for a mixture of brick, stone and stucco exteriors with cedar and wrought iron details. Garages will be wood clad to increase curb appeal.
Council members unanimously approved the zoning change. A construction timeline has not yet been set.
