The City of Allen will be celebrating Independence Day early by throwing DFW’s biggest summer party with Dallas’ best party bands!
Keeping the tradition of being “First to the Fourth,” the 2017 Market Street Allen USA Celebration will be held on the last Saturday in June, with this year’s annual event beginning at 4 p.m. on June 24 at Celebration Park in Allen.
This fun, family-friendly event for all ages is free to attend and will include live music, games and activities, diverse food options and North Texas’ most exciting fireworks display choreographed to contemporary and patriotic music.
Opening the main stage’s music lineup will be Jon Christopher Davis (and Lone Star Attitude), performing a catalog of Texas and Americana music, including rock, country and blues from bands such as ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, George Straight and The Eagles. Following will be Le Freak, which prides themselves on being the greatest disco band in the world, bringing hits of the 70s. Headlining will be Emerald City, voted the best live party band in the United States, rocking out with your favorite Top 40 songs and more!
New to this year’s event is the "Are You as Tough as a Cowboy?" Combine Challenge powered by Michael Johnson Performance. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in variations of NFL combine drills, such as the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and pro-agility shuttle for a chance to meet Dallas wide receiver Cole Beasley. Returning this year will be the popular Military Zone, Sports Zone and Jurassic Zone by Billings Productions (The Dinosaur Company). Also, a diverse range of food vendors will provide options that will delight all tastes.
An unforgettable fireworks display set to popular music will wrap up the evening. The fireworks show also includes ground effects that can only be experience from Celebration Park, which will amaze and dazzle attendees.
