[ARCHIVED] Allen Police Teach Women to Fight Off Attackers

RAD class

Allen Police are now accepting applications for the department's basic Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) class. The four-session class begins July 25.

Classes meet 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings at Allen Recreation Hall (105 S. Anna Drive). Class dates are July 25, August 1, August 8 and August 15.

The class is open to women and teens ages 14 and above. Ages 14-16 must be accompanied to each class by a female guardian.

To enroll in the class, participants must complete an application and pay a one-time fee of $25 (cash or check). Class size is limited to the first 25 paid applicants. Allen Police Department no longer holds spots for unpaid applicants.

Applications and payment can be turned in to Allen Police Headquarters (205 W. McDermott Drive) or the Village at Allen police substation (190 E. Stacy Rd. #1314) during business hours, Monday through Thursday. If paying by check, please make check payable to "Allen Police Department."
