The City of Allen’s forestry crew is removing, replacing and trimming trees in several locations throughout the city.
Declining Hackberry trees located in front of Allen Fire Station No. 5 are being removed on September 7-8. Shortly after being removed, the trees will be replaced with others from the City of Allen tree farm.
Also, during the same time as the Hackberry tree maintenance, two declining elm trees located at Suncreek Park will be removed by the forestry crew.
For the Rolling Hills neighborhood, selective trimming has been completed on several of the trees and understory vegetation along the northbound U.S. 75 frontage road near the intersection of Glenwick Place to increase visibility for vehicles entering and exiting the neighborhood.
